Anti-Hackers! has a few different projects running. We are looking for new ways in which to try and deter hackers. Here you will find all projects which have been attempted.
Project Takedown
Project Takedown is our main project, which involves our group and website admins alerting everyone of every phishing website they come accross. This is one of the reasons why it is well worth joining Anti-Hackers! on Steam.
Project Takedown has been pretty successful since Anti-Hackers! started in 2008, as is witnessed by comments saying thank you. I am also pleased to announce that I personally have never received a phishing website from somebody within the group.
Project Firewall
Project Firewall is a defunct project. Until we find coders and designers, this is going nowhere. The Anti-Hackers! Steam Firewall was designed to act as a barrier between you and all the phishing websites. The way it worked was that it would search for keywords on each website you visit, cross-reference that with a database of active phishing websites, and redirect you if the site matched a phishing website.
We would still like this project to become active again and successful. If you are a coder/designer and would like to lend a philanthropic hand, I would ask you to contact me please for more information.
Project Defence
Project Defence was aimed to try and think up ways in which hackers could potentially steal accounts, and secure it before they attempted it. This part of the project did not go very well, but I am still hopeful. If you are a smart person who has a few ideas, please contact me and let me know.
Project Defence also covers the articles relating to account security and how to set good passwords, since you technically are “defending” your account from hackers by following those guidelines.
If you have an idea for a new project, please contact me also. My contact email address is on THIS page!
